Project description

One of our favourite video projects we’ve worked on to date.

This is the story of the journey of Sasha “Kasala’s” Perron and his goal to unite the Nations through the Unity trail. Sasha grew up with family members that were residential school survivors, and growing up seeing that pain it sparked a fire inside of him when the hundreds of bodies of children were found in unmarked graves. Sasha started by running one Km for each child lost, and then it grew to the goal to run across Canada for all survivors and those who didn’t make it.

It was incredible being a part of this project, and having Sasha’s family sing us his own victory song to send him off, which is the track you hear in this video. It was powerful having the privilege to film a real ceremony inside of a longhouse, and be given the honour to tell this story.
